Move-out cleaning
Once the boxes are out, we take care of the rest — the apartment ready for handover.
Move-out cleaning is the last and often the heaviest job of a move. It is done in an empty apartment and covers the places regular cleaning never reaches: the inside of cupboards, the oven, the fridge and freezer, the cooker hood, doors, skirting boards and windows.
We do move-out cleaning both for people moving out and for people moving in, for tenants and for owners. If work has been done in the apartment before the move, we also do the post-renovation clean.
What move-out cleaning includes
- Cupboards and drawers cleaned inside and out
- Oven, hob, cooker hood, fridge and freezer cleaned
- Thorough cleaning of the bathroom and WC
- Doors, frames, skirting boards and switches wiped
- Floors vacuumed and washed
- Window cleaning
Moving out of a rented apartment
A tenant must return the apartment in a clean condition, and most landlords require a move-out clean. An inadequate clean can lead to cleaning costs being deducted from the deposit.
When the move-out clean is done properly, the handover and the return of the deposit go more smoothly.
Timing
A move-out clean is done in an empty apartment, so it is timed after the move but before the handover. Book well ahead, especially around the turn of the month, when most moves happen.

Common questions
Does the apartment need to be empty for a move-out clean?
Yes. The move-out clean is done in an empty apartment so that cupboards, floors and corners can be cleaned completely.
Is window cleaning included?
Window cleaning is part of a move-out clean. The exact content is agreed at the quote stage.
Does a move-out clean qualify for the household tax credit?
The labour portion of cleaning done in your own home can qualify for the household tax credit, provided the service provider is in the prepayment register — we are. Check the current conditions with the Finnish Tax Administration.
Do you also clean after a renovation before the move?
Yes. If the apartment has been renovated before the move, we do a construction and post-renovation clean that also removes building dust.
